It can be summed up as forming, storming and Norming. At the first stage, the employees are bound in groups and the target is shared. Article 1 suggests that members at the beginning would feel apprehensive about participating in the activities, as they were likely to feel the pressure of opening up to a personal level. The intensity of the emotions also would be felt and soon the office would develop into a family where the responsibilities would be shared and members would help in problem solving. The article stated the below mentioned activities that could improve cohesiveness (Dunn & Holt, 2015).

This excellent activity breaks all barriers among the team players. The participant must start by closing his eyes and remember the best moments of his life. After time has been given to go through the highlights of their life, the team leader must inform them that the search has to be narrowed. They are asked to reflect back and decide what they would do if they had only thirty seconds left to let go of certain loved things. The second part is the ‘review’ section. The feelings, ideas are shared among the co-workers. Each participant must state a reason why they chose it. This activity allows many personal discussions and gives each employee a chance to know one another at a personal level and develop cordial relations tohelp them work beter as a team (Gilson, Maynard & Bergiel, 2013).

The team leader needs to create a model of any structure. The team has to be divided into four groups. Each participant must be given enough building material to create the same structure. the model should be placed so that everyone can see it from an equal distance. Every team can send one member to take a look at the model once and instruct the rest of the tem to build the model accordingly. The game should go on until one team manages to create the same model successfully. This game involves interactions, sharing of different opinions. This will teach the workers how to solve problems in a group. Conflicts and debates will arise and the team leader to increase cohesiveness must handle this with care.
Time Required: 10-15 minutes
The team players must start by writing down two truths about themselves and one lie on a paper without revealing to anyone. The members need to guess each other’s truths and lies by asking relevant questions. The objective is to let the whole office guess the truths and must be revealed only at the end. This game helps to increase communication barriers. Members who did not know each other previously get to know one another at a personal level. This also increases work efficiency (Somech & Khalaili, 2014).
