Answer:-

Blog1: Ford and Taylor Scientific Management

Section1:

From the video exploring the idea of Taylorism shows the Ford and Taylor Scientific Management and interprets the way, Henry Ford was influenced by the efficiency expert Frederick Traylor. Ford has explored the revolutionized way to drop the time by one hour to manufacture a single car. Though, in Britain, in early time, the Vulcan Motor company used to build a car, assembled by the worker. At the early time, Car was the dream for the population who cannot afford them due to their high price being assembled by the worker. Ford made the simplest cars ever. He changed the way workers work and introduced new methods of the organization influenced by the expert Taylor, who devoted his time to understand the way the workers do not do their task efficiently and that eventually lead to slow execution of processes (Henry Ford and Scientific Management: The Transformation of Labor in the Early Twentieth Century, 2015). He tried to find the solution to speeding them up. Following the consequences, Taylor started to use the stopwatches to record each single step of the task done by them to find how much they take to accomplish a single task. Being motivated by Taylor, Ford divided Automobile production into several steps. Due to the assistance of technology enabled machines, workers can do any job quickly, and they do not need any prior skills to assemble the parts of a product (Netmba.com, 2015). Even the wheel making process split into several steps done by several men on a different machine. On the other hand, Ford realized that rather than connecting different workers to fast the production, it will be beneficial to move the different parts to different workers to fasten the process execution done by different workers. Following the trend of slowly moving a car to moving different parts of a product, the assembly line was born (Willamette.edu, 2015). The assembly line became the reason behind the mass production. Due to these assembly lines, workers had to work following by strict timing of component supply as the new assembly line bid up and about to do the overall processes in a rhythm. On the other hand, the repetitive steps bind with the assembly line caused potential health consequences, such as repetitive motion injuries. After a certain period of time, Ford’s production has raised in a large amount, causing record profit. Though, workers were leaving their job due to their hectic schedule. Ford adopted a new strategy to pay workers more to work hard and get more wage. Nowadays, almost every company is following the Ford’s method to uplift their production on the other hand, access of information and more voice to fight for the rights to achieve the suitable work condition (YouTube, 2015).

Section 2:

Toyota is recognized for their excellent manufacturing quality products to ensure the zero defects in their finished product. Even, Toyota has a quality checking system across the several divisions, including the development, purchase, and production. Though, due to rapid globalization, Toyota has adopted the “Toyota way” to manage the several principles and circulated all those principles across the branches out of the home country.

Still, there are several analysts feel that the globalization or the rapid growth of the organization has affected the quality product of the company. In this scenario, Toyota can adopt Ford’s way to pay the workers more money in exchange of mass production along with the quality.

Blog: BCG’s Yves Morieux view on Organization Design

Section1:

As per the Yves Morieux, who is the senior partner and managing director of Boston Consulting Group, organization’s central dimension of competitive advantage lies on the organizational behavior seen in the people. Though, the main issue in an organization is to translate the strategy into the right structure, system and processes. For example, adoption of the strategies those are less efficient and can hinder the progress should be eliminated (YouTube, 2015). On the other hand, the ideal strategy must execute in the both ways. A well-organized structure of the organization will be efficient to design the ideal strategy and to establish the structure and to facilitate the implementation. Knowledge management is required to manage the expertise and knowledge in the organization (Harvard Business Review, 2011). Several steps are involved in the strategy implementation process along the processes and a higher level of management. Bureaucracy often leverages from the efficiency and equity. Equity often relates to the way the employees are taught and training given to them, i.e., equal opportunity to train and make the employees aware. All of the principles and strategies create a doom loop, and the doom loop is formed due to the way the several control raised by different principles and restriction, and the way they are applied, not expectable. Hence, it is required for an organization to determine the capability of the company and to find the right strategy to be designed and to be implemented keeping the organizational structure in mind. The right strategy will not only bring the profit but also helps to carry out the market threat and opportunities of an organization (Bcgperspectives.com, 2007).

Section2:

While the organization Toyota is concerned, they require an efficient strategy in order to manage their people as well their global expansion. Hence, it is recommended for Toyota to train their people work by eliminating stress, and some motivation strategies should be applied in order to get the smooth workflow. Hence, it is recommended to hire expertise and responsible people in order to acquire knowledge and to enable the organization to carry out the best from their employees. Bureaucracy often leverages from the efficiency and equity. Equity often relates to the way the employees are taught and training given to them, i.e., equal opportunity to train and make the employees aware. Hence, it required adopting some efficient strategies to manage their employees (Harvard Business Review, 2011).
